How It Works

Our Talent

Enhancing a subpar user experience to boost engagement across two significant audiences.

My Disciplines: Audience research, User testing, prototyping, UX/UI Design

Owned by staffing and employee consultancy PERSOLKELLY, the GO app was designed to help employees and jobseekers search, apply, and manage their careers anytime, anywhere. However, the app struggled to deliver on its promises and quickly developed a poor reputation. It ultimately failed to serve as a valuable tool for its users.

Working under tight deadlines and a limited budget, the PERSOLKELLY team was under pressure to optimise their GO app and deliver a solution before Christmas.

My role was to create a design that was both visually striking and tailored to appeal to their Asian target audience. The first challenge was securing the CEO’s approval with an eye-catching concept before moving on to develop the rest of the app.

I presented three distinct concepts, each offering a unique look and approach. Designing for products in Asia is quite different from Western design styles, so it was important to strike the right balance between usability and creating something bold, edgy, and engaging.

Once we had cemented the write visual direction for the app, I quickly identified key areas of the app that needed an overhaul and provided a positive impact on the users. This required communicating closely with the PERSOLKELLY team to ensure we weren't wasting any time on unnecessary changes
